My name is Brooke O'Malley and I am a dedicated 15-year-old equestrian from Los Angeles, California. Riding has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I currently train with Susie Schroer at Meadow Grove Farm.

Since making the move to Meadow Grove in 2021, my riding has progressed rapidly—from the 2’0” divisions to competing and winning at the top 3’6” equitation finals. I have earned notable accolades such as CPHA Junior Champion with back-to-back scores of 92, Champion in the Hunt Seat Medal Finals (scoring 89 and 89), and Reserve Champion at Maclay Regionals after moving up during the work-off. At the Jump Seat Finals West, I was Reserve Champion after winning the flat phase with a 90. Additional highlights include a 3rd place finish at WCE Finals, 3rd at NCEA West Finals (90 on the flat, 87 over fences), and 6th at THIS Medal Finals. I’ve qualified for major finals including Maclay, Dover, WIHS, CPHA, and WCE, and plan to return to the 3’6” medal finals this season.

I ride a talented string of horses, including Quijote, an 18h equitation horse I’ve developed over the last two years after his career as a jumper. Uno, also 18h, is nine years old and newer to the equitation and has come far in the year I’ve had him helping me pick up my largest accolades. Kalina, is a seasoned jumper with 1.40m scope, who I aim to qualify for Young Riders and hopefully Prix de States this year or next.

Beyond the show ring, I take pride in contributing to the barn community. I often pack for horse shows and mentor younger riders, especially the “pony kids,” helping them learn to walk strides and build confidence. I’m deeply committed to horsemanship and enjoy the day-to-day care of my horses as much as the thrill of competition.

I am currently a student at Marymount High School, where I maintain a strong academic standing with a focus on math—a subject that has always come easily to me. I also run track competitively and volunteer at Ahead With Horses, an equine therapy organization that is close to my heart.

Pressure in the ring motivates me—I ride my best under high stakes. I believe that my coachability, inclusive attitude, and ability to learn from every ride make me a strong team player. My goal is to ride for a Division I collegiate team, earn championship rings, and become a well-rounded horsewoman capable of excelling on any horse I ride. Long-term, I plan to pursue a professional career in the sport I love.
